About Me

I enjoy learning new technologies and applying research to design UIs that are easy to use. I am an inquisitive problem solver, a team player and a lifelong learner.
I most recently was working as a UX designer at Synopsys re-designing a complex desktop application used for modeling chip manufacturing to improve usability, consistency, visual design and information architecture. Using research methods and Figma, I’ve created wireframes and prototypes for the layout design, run setup and results dashboard of the source optimization software.
Prior to this, I have worked in the marketing departments of educational institutions, transit, startup, and high tech. Having this diverse industry experience has made me knowledgeable and passionate about accessibility, quality and efficiency.
I have a Masters of Science in Information specializing in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan (2017) and a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta (2000).
Between obtaining my degrees, I worked for over 15 years as a Software Engineer in Test Automation where I found a love for user experience building web reports of regression test results for managers, developers and application engineers.
During my spare time, I enjoy playing volleyball, yoga, meditating, hiking, swimming and playing music (piano, guitar, singing and songwriting).
