There were many different disciplines involved from creative, media, ux, strategy, and tech. I was one of 2 ux interns involved and our final deliverable was a wireframe for a new Create Purpose website.

In the process, we did a brainstorm session, web audit, content audit, comparative/competitive analysis of 5 in-category and 5 out-of-category, conducted 2 interviews, 3 formative tests, developed personas, considered analytics, wireframed, and iterated using feedback from CEO and co-workers. We worked with creative to have styling applied to our wireframes using creative’s style guide.

From our audits and assessment, we decided that it would be best for Create Purpose to re-design their website. Some of the main reasons were a high bounce rate, low click through rate on sub-pages, disorienting interactions and unintuitive navigation on the existing website.

Drawing inspiration from some comparative/competitive analysis, we decided that we wanted keep it simple by moving to a one-page scrolling site that takes users on a journey from promoting awareness of the problem, to educating them about what Create Purpose does, and activating them to get involved. We went through multiple iterations with feedback from co-workers and the CEO of Create Purpose and ended up with a design that he loved.
